History

Broady Flow Control Limited today, is the result of a business launched in Kingston upon Hull in 1902 by the late William Broady, a coppersmith by trade. Originally a large proportion of the company’s work came from the Hull Docks in the form of installation and repair of marine pipe-work on the local trawler fleet.

By the early 1930’s Broady was manufacturing a range of valves & cocks, including reducing valves for large boilers which were being installed in trawlers at that time.  This became an important part of the business  and to accommodate this demand, a new department was set up specifically to manufacture pressure reducing and safety relief valves – the core of today’s business at Broady Flow Control.

In addition to manufacturing a world class range of Safety, Safety Relief, Pressure Reducing Pilot, Surplus & Gas Blanketing Valves, to a wide range of industries worldwide, Broady also became a specialist supplier to the Royal Navy and has undertaken defence work since 1938. This business has developed for both UK and international markets.
